First light is my favourite time of the day for a walk on the beach with a friend. The sun peaks over the distant horizon, punches through the soft white clouds and shimmers on the crystal clear water. The sparkling sand squeaks through your toes and the cool crisp air fills your lungs. As you think while strolling along, 'Ahh what a beautiful day, its great to be alive.
Morning Walk captures a moment in time we all treasure. The artist's intention when creating this highly textured painting was to create depth and movement by using quick and spontaneous palette knife markings. The surface of the painting is coated in a clear archival glaze with diamond dust embedded into the light fast clear. The work sparkles like light on water as you pass by the painting.
